Microsoft Forces You to Buy 1600 Microsoft Points

All of the downloadable content like map packs, expansions, and add-ons cannot be purchased using a credit card or PayPal. I’m not sure why but Microsoft makes you purchase Microsoft points to get the smaller DLC packages. Microsoft forces you to buy 1600 Microsoft points when most downloadable content (like the ones listed above) cost less than 1200 Microsoft. So an Xbox live gamer is left with 400 or so Microsoft points to spend on stuff they really don’t need.

On the other hand, Games on demand (cost between $20 and $60) and they have the option of paying with a credit card… Making Microsoft points kind of useless.

Michael, do you think Microsoft is really going to want to start paying the small transactional fees charged by major credit card companies like visa and MasterCard? Isn’t this why Microsoft created its own currency the first place? Why would they ditch the system when it already works by keeping its bottom line cost low?
